Wool is What’s For Stockings
Taking care of traveling tootsies is key; it follows that every traveler should have sweet socks coddling cobblestone-sore and trail-battered toes — hot ‘n sore or cold ‘n wet feet can derail a trip fast. I can’t travel without Smartwool socks , myself. They don’t itch, like those shapeless, scratchy blobs one normally associates with wool sock world, and they don’t stink or shrink. Warm, cool, cushy, comfy, Smartwool socks are a great stocking stuffer. I hope Santa’s listening — I could use a few more pairs. I don’t say “new pairs,” because mine are lasting until loss do we part — my Smartwool sock ration has been depleted only by careless draping on overheated hostel radiators (pictured in London’s Wake Up! above), never by consignment to holey purgatory.
