Uber-cheapo bus company Megabus.com is partnering with New York’s official marketing arm to offer 100,000 free seats on Megabus trips between 01/06/10-03/20/10 anywhere the bus goes, though 40K of the free seats are earmarked for travel to New York. Book as of today (12/08) using the Megabus promo code ” GETAWAY .” Megabus rolled its limited luggage, stationless cruisers from the UK to the US in spring, 2006 and is now firmly established in 13 Midwestern-Northeast states and Ontario, Canada, around a Chicago hub; tickets on the double-decker buses, which offer free WiFi, reclining seats, power outlets and on-board restrooms, can go for as little as a buck even without applying promotional codes and deals.
